This guidance only applies to the 2020-2021 school year provided in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) must provide Gifted and Talented (G/T) services for students in all learning settings. The G/T assessment waiver for new identification ended in May 2020. LEAs are expected to resume the 2019-2020 identification and start the 2020-2021 identification for G/T process.
